Abstract
• Farmer Exchange Rate
(NTP) is a comparison of the price index received
farmers (It)
against the price index paid by farmers (Ib).
• FTT is one indicator to see the level of ability /
purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows power
terms of trade of agricultural products with goods and
services consumed as well as for production costs.
• In June 2020, the Sumatera Utara Province NTP (2018 = 100)
was recorded at 105.13 or up 0.60 percent compared to the May 2020 NTP which
was 104.50.
• The June 2020 FTT increase was due to the increase in FTT
in the four sub-sectors, namely the FTT of the Food Crop subsector by 0.66
percent, the FTT of the People's Plantation Plant subsector by 0.83 percent,
the FTT of the Livestock subsector by 1.39 percent, and the FTT of the
Fisheries Subsector by 1 , 20 percent. Whereas the NTP of the Horticultural
Plants sub-sector fell by 1.98 percent.
• Changes in the Household Consumption Index (IKRT) reflect
the numbers
rural inflation / deflation. In June 2020, there was a rural
deflation in Sumatera Utara of 0.24 percent.
• Sumatera Utara Province Agricultural Exchange (NTUP) in
North 2020 in the amount of 105.27 in June or an increase of 0.21 percent
compared to NTUP in the previous month.
