Abstract
The value of exports through loading
ports in the Sumatera Utara region in October 2023 increased compared to
September 2023, namely from US$874.78 million to US$948.39 million or an
increase of 8.41 percent. When compared with October 2022, Sumatera Utara's
exports decreased by 11.88 percent

The category of goods that
experienced the largest increase in export value was the dregs/leftovers from
the food industry amounting to US$ 22.20 million (33.88%), while the category
of goods that experienced a decrease in export value in October 2023 compared
to September 2023 was the soap and cleaning preparations category, which
decreased amounting to US$1.11 million (-2.52%).

Exports to China in October 2023
were the largest, namely US$230.36 million, followed by the United States at
US$112.74 million and India at US$63.64 million with the contribution of the
three reaching 42.89 percent.
· According to the group of main export
destination countries in October 2023, exports to the Asian region (outside
ASEAN) were the largest with a value of US$418.04 million (44.08%).
