The number of foreign tourists Sumatera Utara in September 2019

• The number of foreign tourists (tourists) visiting Sumatera Utara through 4 (four) entrances in September 2019 reached 19,717 visits, a decrease of 26.53 percent compared to those coming in August 2019 reaching 26,835 visits.

• September 2019 period, the number of foreign tourists visiting Sumatera Utaradecreased by 1.49 percent compared to the same period in 2018, from 20,015 visits in 2018 to 19,717 visits in 2019

• In September 2019, tourists from Malaysia were the most visitors with 9,071 visits or 46.01 percent of the total tourists visiting Sumatera Utara.

• Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of starred hotels in Sumatera Utara in September 2019 reached an average of 44.29 percent, down 3.59 points compared to August 2019 of 47.88 percent.

• The average length of stay of foreign and Indonesian guests at star-rated hotels in September 2019 reached 1.48 days, down 0.04 points compared to August 2019.

• The number of domestic passengers departing from Sumatera Utara via Kualanamu International Airport in September 2019 reached 214,390 people, down 4.87 percent compared to August 2019 which reached 225,363 people.

• The number of inter-island (domestic) sea transport passengers departing in September 2019 was 9,948 people, down 8.77 percent compared to the previous month of 10,904 people.
