The number of tourists in Sumatera Utara in October 2019 was 22,556 visits

• The number of foreign tourists (tourists) visiting Sumatera Utara through 4 (four) entrances in October 2019 reached 22,556 visits, an increase of 14.40 percent compared to those who came in September 2019 to reach 19,717 visits.

• The period of October 2019, the number of foreign tourists visiting Sumatera Utara increased 39.84 percent compared to the same period in 2018, from 16,130 visits in 2018 to 22,556 visits in 2019

• In October 2019, tourists from Malaysia were the most visitors with 9,982 visits or 44.25 percent of the total tourists visiting Sumatera Utara.

• Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of five-star hotels in Sumatera Utara in October 2019 reached an average of 47.05 percent, up 2.76 points compared to September 2019 of 44.29 percent.

• The average length of stay of foreign and Indonesian guests at star-rated hotels in October 2019 reached 1.47 days, down 0.01 points compared to September 2019.

• The number of domestic passengers departing from Sumatera Utara via Kualanamu International Airport during October 2019 reached 225,484 people, up 5.17 percent compared to September 2019 which reached 214,390 people.

• The number of inter-island (domestic) sea transport passengers departing in October 2019 was recorded at 2,320 people, down 76.68 percent compared to the previous month of 9,948 people.
