Abstract
• In December 2019, the Sumatera
Utara Province NTP (2012 = 100) was recorded at 99.08, up 0.18 percent
compared to the November 2019 NTP which was 98.91.
• The increase in the FTT December 2019 was due
to the increase in the FTT of the People's Plantation Plant subsector by 1.86
percent, the FTT of the Livestock subsector by 0.02 percent, and the FTT of the
Fisheries subsector by 1.26 percent. Whereas the NTP of the Food Crop subsector
fell by 0.20 percent and the Horticultural Sub-sector FTT dropped by 3.24
percent
• Changes in the Household Consumption Index
(IKRT) reflect the rural inflation / deflation rate. In December 2019, rural
deflation occurred in Sumatera Utara by 0.13 percent. This was caused by
the decline in the index of the foodstuffs group by 0.53 percent. While the
index of the processed food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco group increased
by 0.32 percent, the housing group index rose by 0.06 percent, the clothing
group index rose by 0.37 percent, the health group index rose by 0.15 percent,
and the index the transportation and communication group rose by 0.11 percent.
